UGRI (Utah Ghost Research & Investigation) focuses on the investigation and research of paranormal activity (such as spirits/ghosts/apparitions/etc). The goal and purpose of UGRI is to document these experiences as thorough and appropriately as possible. We are a non-profit organization. The members of UGRI are a group of people from Salt Lake City, UTAH who all share the same interest, spiritual paranormals. None of our members are paid for the work and research/investigation that we do. The members purchased all equipment used by UGRI, unless specified otherwise. During our investigations, we have the utmost respect for the spirits in which we are investigating and the premises we are in or on.

We have no desire to publish any form of false media (pictures, evp, stories, etc.) Our goal, in simplest form, is to document the dead. We have no desire to create and publish false media to fool anyone when our goal is to document it for our self, and not for money or benefit.

We have a specific protocol that we follow on every investigation. A protocol is a specific list of things that we will do, not do, or obey. To review our protocol, read below:

  • We will always make safety our number one priority.
  • We will never investigate alone. For several reasons, among them is Safety concerns and witness to claims.
  • We will not bring children to any UGRI investigation. Ghost hunting is not the place to bring children.
  • We will be respectful of private and public properties. We will use no means of forced entry or enter areas marked No Trespassing.
  • We will not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during investigations.
  • We will not smoke during an investigation. (To avoid the false effect of mist/ecto/etc and have respect for the dead.)
  • We will always be responsible and appropriate during investigations. (No horseplay, no foul language, etc)
  • We will not discuss any investigation, location, and information (personal or business) with anyone outside of UGRI. We respect privacy.
  • We will always dress appropriately. No shiny clothes to reflect off the camera, no disrespectful attire, etc.
  • We will not conduct an investigation if the weather is not appropriate. This means no taking pictures in the rain/snow/fog/heavy winds/etc.
  • We will always clean our equipment and camera lenses prior to, and during investigations to avoid false pictures and keep the lenses clean.
  • We will always remove or hold the straps from a camera to avoid false vortex's.
  • We will not take pictures with direct light or a reflection towards the camera, to avoid false orbs or mist/vortex's.
  • We will always hold our equipment in a proper manner to not tamper with its use. (I.e. Keeping fingers away from camera lens, microphone from rubbing against things, etc)
